BIM-Plugins.com is a website gathering plugins for various Building Information Modeling (BIM) software programs, initially launching with structural steel detailing plugins such as SDS2 and Tekla Structures.

This website is the place where one can download plugins for structural steel detailing BIM software and buy licenses for them.
How can a user buy a plugin?
To buy a plugin a user has to register and login to this website. Then, after clicking on plugin details, he will be able to buy licenses for specified plugin.
Plugin license is a unique identifier which allows the assigned user to use the plugin. It is assigned to and owned by a user which has bought it. Buying is possible only on this website. This license identifier is private and should be available only for a buyer.
- License identifier cannot be given a to anyone else.
- BIM Plugins is not responsible for unauthorized plugin activation; license may be lost in this case
What are the license types?
- Free: This license does nto cost the user to purchase the license
- Perpetual: This license incurs a ont-time fee. The end user may use this plugin indefinitely
- Subscription: This license will have an auto reoccurring payment in intervals of monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Failure to pay the reoccurring auto payment will terminate the license
- Site:A company can buy X amounts of seats. Then the company could assign any given seat to any given user up to the amounts of seats they have bought. At any time, the company can reassign the seats.
The following is true about any of the above licenses
- all licenses are associated to an indiciaual Apps By TAP login through a desktop local license server
- The license allows to activate or reactivate (i.e. after reinstalling the system) specified plugin on only one computer (real machine)
- After activation user cannot use/activate the specified license on another computer
- To transfer licenses to another computer the user will need to log out of their Apps By TAP account on the local license server application
- An internet connection is required for the duration of use of the plugin
How to use license identifier / active the plugin?
To activate a plugin, internet connection is needed. The user will need to install our local license server. Once this application has been installed on the user’s machine, they will be prompted to login. For the duration of using the plugins an internet connection will need to be active.
How to move license to another computer?
The user will need to log out of the desktop local license server application. This will deauthorize their computer to use the plugins. The ability to authorize a new computer varies dependent upon the time elapsed from the previous activation and previous license release count (min. 3 months). If it is unavailable, please contact us and explain your situation.
What are the payment methods?
This website uses external payment providers: STRIPE. Only online payments are accepted. (any valid payment on Stripe is accepted, typically credit/debit card).
All payment information is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and handled on Stripes’ servers.
In case the User wants to pay by bank transfer, he should contact BIMPlugins, LLC (contact@bim- plugins.com).
What are the currencies?
All prices are in US Dollar ($).
Do the prices include taxes?
No. The prices do not include sales tax.
When does the user get the license identifier?
License identifiers will be available after payment acceptance and confirmation (usually it takes a few minutes). User can view payment status on the website.
Return policy
To exercise the right of withdrawal from the plugin purchase, the User must inform BIMPlugins of their decision within 14 days from the date of the transaction.
If the User exercises the right, the licenses of the purchased plugins will be blocked and BIMPlugins will reimburse the User for payment without undue delay at the latest within fourteen (14) calendar days of BIMPlugins being notified of withdrawal by the User. Money will be returned by the use of a payment method used by the User to make the original transaction. The User will not be charged any fees in connection with money return.
The User is not entitled to withdraw from the plugin purchase if the Application has been activated and the software license codes have been used.
Storage of software data
BIMPlugins does not collect and process any data, in particular data on projects and models, with the exception of:
- data necessary for the purchase, licensing and after-sales service of extensions and subscriptions
- anonymous statistical data: BIM software version, language, IP number, installation date, last run time
- service data - sent by the user for error diagnosis
All the above data is stored on BIMPlugins IT servers in the USA.

EVERY PLUGIN FOR BIM SOFTWARES IS THE PROPERTY OF ITS DEVELOPER (OWNER) AND IS PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT. THE RIGHT TO COPY, MODIFY OR TO USE OF THE FRAGMENTS ALSO BELONGS TO ITS DEVELOPERS (OWNERS).
User cannot:
- modify or combine plugin files with other programs,
- sell, rent, lease or lend plugin licenses.
Limited warranty:
The Software on this website is being delivered "AS IS" and BIMPlugins makes no warranty about use or performance. BIMPlugins does not and cannot guarantee the performance or results the user may obtain by using the Software. BIMPlugins gives no warranty that the Software will operate error-free or without interruption or that any errors will be corrected.
Limitations of liability:
Under no circumstances shall BIMPlugins be liable for any damages, claims or costs whatsoever or any consequential or indirect, incidental damages or lost profits or savings, even if you have been informed of the possibility of such losses, damages, claims or costs or any other claims reported by third parties
Each plugin is licensed to the user by the Owner. BIMPlugins is not responsible for third-party plugins.

This website is the place where one can publish and sell plugins for BIM software.
How to become a developer?
This option is available on the website. If a potential developer has finished and tested the plugin, he can contact us for additional arrangements.
What are the transaction fees?
BIM Plugins has 15% platform fee from each transaction. Stripe takes a 2.9% + $0.32 per transaction.
Rights:
BIMPlugins does not claim ownership of third-party plugins. Copyrights belong to developers of the plugins.
BIM Plugins reserves the right to disable or remove the plugin/developer from the store when:
- plugin contains illegal or malicious content,
- plugin causes violation of copyrights,
- plugin is inconsistent with the description,
- plugin is not related to BIM software in anyway
- plugin does not meet the qualify guidelines
